Petty Legends is an original browser game owned and developed by Anglo Ascot Group. Players can choose solo heists, form a private two-player crew or explore the turn-based Petty Tactics planning game. It combines colourful characters, small-scale heist stories and browser-based play. The game is free, requires no download and is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
THE PROBLEM & THE PURPOSE
A browser game needs to explain its premise and give people a useful way to start. The public website and the play experience have related but different jobs. The website introduces the world and available modes. The app address opens the game itself. Keeping those roles understandable helps a new visitor choose whether to explore the idea or begin playing.
Petty Legends offers more than one style of participation. A solo heist is an individual choice-driven experience. A private crew gives two people a shared activity. Petty Tactics uses a different turn-based planning structure. The showcase needs to explain those differences so that a visitor is not faced with several unexplained buttons.
The project is also an example of AAG developing its own creative product alongside client websites and practical office tools.
PROJECT SCOPE
A practical view of the scope at the stated stage.
A player selects a job and works through a browser-based heist. This mode provides an individual route into the game’s characters and choices.
Someone can invite a person they know into a private crew for a shared job. The public project description does not imply a large open matchmaking community.
A separate turn-based planning game offers its own tactical challenge. Its role is explained as a distinct mode rather than another name for solo heists.
EXPLAINED VISUALLY
The original blueprint explains the relationship between the public introduction and the play experience. It is not a performance chart. The authentic Palace artwork used on this project page comes from the game’s own visual world.
DESIGN DECISIONS
Different modes should be recognisable before play begins. A person choosing a private crew needs to understand that another person is involved. Someone trying Petty Tactics needs to expect turn-based planning. Clear descriptions help the visual identity and the interaction work together rather than relying on a visitor to discover the difference through mistakes.
The browser format also shapes the interface. People may arrive on a phone, follow a shared link or move between the introductory website and the app. A usable game needs readable controls and clear feedback around the current action. Those principles matter even when the tone is playful.
For the portfolio, authentic game artwork provides a more useful connection to the product than unrelated stock imagery. It lets the showcase communicate character while the accompanying text explains what someone can actually do.
EVIDENCE & LIMITS
The Petty Legends website and play address provide direct public ways to inspect the experience. The project is an AAG original. Its own Palace artwork is used with that provenance, alongside the original explanatory blueprint.
This case study does not publish player records, account information, revenue or unsupported engagement statistics. It does not claim that a website visit demonstrates a completed play session or an improvement in player retention.
OUR TAKE
Playful work still depends on a clear product structure. The world can be colourful and surprising while the next action remains easy to understand. Explore the game directly, compare the continuing-fiction direction of KLYPTA, or try the practical Office Tracker to see another part of AAG’s product work.
